After more than a decade, Vanessa has risen from the dead and is calling out: "Hey, die." The album Ave Agony was produced by Alexander Hacke (Einstürzende Neubauten) and besides the singer Samir Hauser and the composers Miroslav Papez and Daniel Rodny, the drummer Jaroslav Stuchlý and the producer Jakub Horák also contributed to it.
A rough crew, naturalistic Czech lyrics and a naked picture of a corrupt reality, that's the new Vanessa. "We're playing mainstream today, they're such nice songs for people our age, but also for the younger ones," says Rodný. "The lyrics are about the joys and pleasures of people in midlife crisis. If people want to learn something about themselves and discover the dark side that's in all of us, the Ave Agony record will allow them to do that," Samir adds.
